Trekking with Purpose

Conceived at the foot of Mount Everest, Nepal Without Limits is a charity organization that combines trekking with outreach to the most impoverished communities in Nepal.

We aim to empower impoverished Nepali communities with training, charitable aide from fundraising, and increased tourist income from environmentally focused treks and cultural tours. When we work together, there are “no limits.”

Joanna Steinel

Joanna Steinel, a hiker and a mountain climber, has been a special education teacher and children’s yoga instructor for the last 25 years in Las Vegas. She has been a long-time volunteer at a Las Vegas hospice and is an outspoken advocate for children and the most vulnerable in her community.

Ram Magar

Ram Magar is a trekking and mountaineering guide with over 20 years experience licensed with the Nepali Department of Tourism. He has been on the board of school directors and is involved in multiple community outreach projects in Nepal. He was born in Solukhumbu and now lives in Kathmandu with his wife and two children.

Simon Croson

An avid adventurer and photographer, Simon has been visiting Nepal since 1991 and has made a point to help the communities he interacts with on every trek. Simon and Ram met in 2014 when he led a “Bee Safari” for Bees Abroad, a UK-based charity in Nepal. He is excited to join Nepal Without Limits in the role of advisor and future retreat facilitator.

For trekkers, mountain climbers, and tourists to Nepal, our goal is to provide you with the ability to experience the most spectacular geographic beauty of Nepal by participating in treks, mountaineering expeditions, and educational retreats while also connecting, influencing, and supporting the communities we visit together through volunteer opportunities on the ground. We are also very grateful to be able to accept monetary contributions from our volunteers as well as from those who share our global vision but are unable to visit.
